Azerbnaijan, Baku / corr. Trend E.Huseynli / NATO Special Representative of the Secretary General for South Caucasus and Central Asia, Robert Simmons, stated on 15 March at the meeting with the Defence Minister of Azerbaijan, Safar Abiyev, that NATO plans to sign new Individual Partnership Action Plan with Azerbaijan in the near future. Simmons said that this plan will be more perfective from the point of view of the national interests of Azerbaijan. "As a NATO representative, the reforms held in the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan make me happy," Simmons said.
Abiyev said that the education system of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan function in accordance with the NATO standards.
