Azerbaijan Parliament Supported Instituting Parliamentarian to Criminal Responsibility

Trend I.Alizade / The meeting of Azerbaijan Parliament's Discipline Commission on 19 March gave consent to institute parliamentarian Huseyn Abdullayev to criminal responsibility. Due to it, the Chairman of the Commission, Agajan Abdullayev, made a speech at extraordinary meeting of the Parliament on 19 March. Six out of seven members of the Commission voted for instituting Huseyn Abdullayev to criminal responsibility, and one member, Chairman of Great Establishment Party, Fazil Gazanfaroglu, voted against.

The Prosecutor General's Office filed a criminal case against Huseyn Abdullayev over the articles 132 (beating) and 221.2.2 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
