Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend P.Amirjanov / On March 28 the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, received the delegation headed by the Chairman of the Federation Council of Russia, Sergey Mironov. Aliyev said that both State and Government bodies and Parliaments play a significant role in the development of the bilateral relations. In addition, Azerbaijan and Russia actively co-operate within the international organizations. Remembering his meeting with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, on 27 March, Aliyev said that the meeting focused on the relations between the two countries in various spheres.
Mironov said that the representatives of the high legislative bodies of the two countries will work actively in the future to further strengthen the legal base of the bilateral relations. Highlighting his meetings in the Parliament of Azerbaijan, Mironov said that favorable discussions were held over the development of the inter-parliamentary relations.
