Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr I. Alizadeh / Hadi Rajabli, the chairman of the Permanent Parliamentary Commission on Public Policy, stated on 20 April that there was a necessity to adopt the Law on Ceremonies.

Mr. Rajabli indicated the problems concerning wedding and funeral ceremonies should be settled. "The draft of the law was developed six years ago. However, due to several reasons, the parliament cannot pass the law. It cannot be adjusted to law frames," he concluded.

Rajabli noted several norms but they are out of operation. "All these norms should be united in one law to be observed by the corresponding bodies. For instance, the volume of sound at wedding ceremonies in Azerbaijan is 100 times over the norm. It can lead to people having brain contusion.
