Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / Tahir Kerimli, the Chairman of the Vahdat party, reported that Vahdat would hold a regular meeting this year.
According to Kerimli, the gathering scheduled for mid-2007 will finalise the date of the general assembly. The meeting will also discuss the issues connected to the forthcoming 2008 presidential elections due in Azerbaijan. Vahdat will make a decision on supporting the President Ilham Aliyev, in the forthcoming presidential elections. Kerimli further stated that the regional branches of the party intensified their activities.
