Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr. I. Alizadeh/ Garib Mammadov, the Chairman of the State Lands and Cartography Committee, has said in Baku today that the Milli Majlis ( Azerbaijan's Parliament) is currently preparing the Draft -"On State-Owned Lands".

According to him, these proposals have been put the Organization led by him.

"There are more than 40 bills, codes, and other legal enactments regarding private-owned lands. Just due to this reason, there is a necessity in the Bill, which will regulate the management, protection, and rational use of state-owned lands," added the Chairman of the State Committee.

Mr. Mammadov considers that the conception of garden-plots should be canceled. According to him, in 1996, at signing Bill "On Land Reform", the Azerbaijani President abolished all structures of such a type. "The state-owned lands are known, as well as those, which are presented to municipal and special ownership. What are garden-plots then? Such lands must belong to the citizen," explained the Chairman of the State Committee.
