Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Alizade / MP Vahid Ahmadov (Azerbaijani Parliament) and the Co-founder of the former political block "Yeni Siyasat" (New Policy) stated on 11 May that the negotiations on the re-organization of the block into political movement are currently underway.
The Yeni Siyasat was founded as the electoral block but stopped functioning after the parliamentary elections. Ahmadov added that there are proposals and projects concerning the re-organization of the Yeni Siyasat into a political block and he is going to participate in this process.
The block was founded in 2005 on the eve of the parliamentary elections. The members of the block were the oppositional parties, independent political organizations, state and social figures. Vahid Ahmadov and Ali Masimi, who nominated from the bloc, won the 2005 parliamentary elections.
