Discussions Postponed re Azerbaijan’s National Problems by Political Parties

Ilhamgizi / Meetings dedicated to separate problems and national issues to be held with the participation of Azerbaijani political parties have been postponed to September, the Co-chairman of the Socio-Democratic Party of Azerbaijan (SDPA), Araz Alizadeh, reported on 4 June.

A round table dedicated to the Nagorno-Karabakh problem was organized by the initiative of the SDPA. The politicians and heads of political parties who were in attendance discussed the occupation of Azerbaijani land. According to Alizadeh, a decision to hold such discussions periodically had been made. "The initiative was put forward by the SDPA. However, we have postponed the meeting to September," the co-chairman said.

According to Alizadeh, discussions at the Party's regular round table will be dedicated to social, economic, migration and other fields of Azerbaijan.

SDPA is a left-wing party lead by the first Azerbaijani President, Ayaz Mutallibov, who now resides abroad.
