President of Azerbaijan to Visit Kazakhstan: Ambassador
Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend E.Huseynov / The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan, Andar Shukputov, said on 4 July that an official visit of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has been scheduled for 7-8 August and will take place at the invitation of the Kazakh President which he made at the summit of Turkic-speaking countries in the Turkish city of Antalya.
"Naturally one of the key issues of the talks will be the cooperation of the two countries especially in the energy, transport and agricultural sectors and common joint position on many issues," the diplomat said. The meeting of the Azerbaijani-Kazakh Inter-Governmental Commission will take place on the eve of the visit at the end of July or beginning of August. The commission will confirm the concluding list of documents which will be signed during the visit. Presently the exact date of the meeting is fixed, the Ambassador said.
From the Azerbaijani side, the commission is headed by the Minister of Economic Development, Heydar Babayev and from the Kazakh side by the Energy Minister, Baktikoja Izmuhambetov.
