Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / Vugar Beyturan, the Chairman of the 'Our Azerbaijan' bloc, has stated that the bloc is about to appeal to the court and legal departments to arrest Khalil Mammadov, the head of the Committee on the protection rights of contributors of the Talisho seda newspaper.

Beyturan noted that the appeal made by Khalil Mammadov to foreign Embassies which operate in Azerbaijan, should be regarded as an anti-government action. "Hiding under the protection of the rights of arrested Novruzali Mammadov, the editor-in-chief of the Talisho seda newspaper, and Elman Mammadov, the executive secretary of the newspaper, Khalil Mammadov have exhibited anti-Azerbaijan and anti-Turkey slogans, which demonstrates ethnic separatism. Such action should be seen as an anti-state popularization against his own country," Beyturan added.

According to Beyturan, Khalil Mammadov's appeal to the foreign Embassies envisages the violation of rights of the Taylish people in Azerbaijan as well as against the Azerbaijani Government. The arrest of two Taylish journalists was an order by the United States against Iran. Beyturan considered that such appeals are detrimental to Azerbaijan.

Khalil Mammadov pronounced himself as the Culture Minister of the invented Taylish-Mugan Republic. The chairman of the fictitious 'Milli Majlis' (Parliament), Fahraddin Abbaszadeh, presently resides in Russia.
