Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend K.Ramazanova / Japan will provide assistance in improving the economic climate of Azerbaijan by attracting Japanese investors into the Country. The Government of Japan closely co-operates with the Government of Azerbaijan with regards to the development of the Country's economy and infrastructure, said the Ambassador of Japan to Azerbaijan, Tadahiro Abe, on 12 July.
Within the grant program "Grassroots and Human Security", the Government of Japan has realized 91 projects in Azerbaijan in the amount of nearly $6 mln. since 2000. The business people of Japan are interested in co-operating with Azerbaijan and this interest will be realized in the near future, the Ambassador said.
In addition, the Embassy of Japan in Azerbaijan is working on plans to organize visits of high-ranking representatives of the Government to Azerbaijan. "We are working on organizing the next meeting of the Japanese-Azerbaijani Inter-Governmental Commission for Economic Co-operation," Tadahiro said.
