Georgia, Tbilisi / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / Zurab Nogaideli, the Georgian prime-minister, who heads the commission on defining the status of South Osetia, stated in Tamarasheni (the area of Georgian-Osetia conflict) on 28 July that the Georgian Government insisted on ' South Osetia' term and would not step back to the opposition this issue.
Unlike the Republican Party, the Georgian opposition is against the use of the ' South Osetia' term. The opposition considers that the use of the term is dangerous, as joining of two Osetia, the North and South within the boundaries of the Russian Federation, can be occurred.
"The term has already been defined, but I do not understand such a resistance of opposition, everybody should know that this is a restoration process of the Georgian territorial integrity, this is a process of reconciliation of Georgian and Osetia," Nogaideli said.
The prime-minister noted that restoration of the territorial integrity was the single guarantee for development of the country in the future.
Dmitri Sanakoyev, the head of the temporary South Osetia Administration, has said that the Autonomous Republic would exist within the united Georgia. " Georgia is our motherland and we should try to do all the necessary to population feel improvement in their states in near future," Sanakoyev added.
The State Commission, formed to define the status of the South Osetia, held the second meeting in Tamarasheni on 30 July. Nogaideli stated that all five task groups were filled up within the Commission. Dmitri Sanakoyev and the representatives of the Georgian Government attended at the meeting.
The Commission will work on the constitutional and legal, finance, economic, education and culture issues. David Bakradzeh, the Georgian State Minister on Regulation of Conflicts, will coordinate the task groups.
The doors of the commission are open for everybody, particularly for the residents of Tskhinvali, Bakrazadeh said.
