Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. А.Gasimova / The statement of Nikolay Melnichenko, the former bodyguard of the Ukrainian ex-President Leonid Kuchma on the disclosure of certain activities of the current President Viktor Yushenko cannot be considered as true.
Oles Doni, the political scientist and Director of the Ukrainian Investigation of Political Values Centre, believes that there are suspicious flaws in the statement made by Melnichenko. Recently Melnichenko gave information of his meeting with Yushenko. According to Donia, Melnichenko did not disclose all the information.
Donia considers that Melnichenko would like to nominate his candidature for MP and therefore makes such statements. Melnichenko was taken to the October hospital suffering from a small stroke. Donia did not exclude that Melnichenko had been attacked as he had many enemies.
