Founder of the bloc, Ali Aliyev.
According to Aliyev, changing the decision of the bloc in such a situation may be only a matter of coordination. "Firstly, it's needed to make fundamental amendments to the election legislation and the election commissions should be formed on a parity base with participation of the representatives of the opposition and the government. Otherwise Azadlyg bloc will not participate in the upcoming elections," he said.
The upcoming Presidential elections will take place on 15 October 2008.
The opposition Azadlyg bloc brings together three parties, the Azerbaijan Popular Front Party, the Azerbaijan Liberal Party, and the Citizen and Development Party.
