UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations to Make a Report on Aviation Incident in Tsitelubani Village: Foreign Minister

Georgia, Tbilisi /corr. Trend N.Kirskhalia / The UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations will today make a report on the aviation incident in Tsitelubani village, the Foreign Minister of Georgia, Gela Bejuashvili, briefed the media.

On 15 August Georgia's permanent representative to the UNO, Irakli Alasaniya, met with the UN Secretary General, Pan Ki-moon. The Georgian representative provided the latest information on the investigations of the aviation incident. The number of documents also included one from the international independent experts who confirmed the flight of the bombing plane from Russia over the village. "We must establish exactly the circumstance that the Georgian side has confirmed from the first day that its air border was violated from the northern side. The Georgian side is prepared to co-operate with all parties in confirming the situation," Bejuashvili said.

He stressed that the OSCE experts will arrive in Georgia in the near future to investigate the matter.
