Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend D.Khatinoglu / Today the third stage of talks took place between the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Iran. Unsuccessful results of the two-month discussions with IAEA threatens Iran with the application of the 3rd resolution, said the Chairman of the Association of the Iranian Researchers in Paris office, Prof., Hossein Lajavardi, who operates in Paris.

The IRNA agency reports that the Chairman of the Security Council of Iran, Ali Laridjani, stated that if the USA does not cease its pressure policy and threats with regards to Iran, official Tehran will stop cooperating with the IAEA and refuse to take positive steps. "We tried to cooperate with the IAEA as transparent as possible," Larijani said. He considers that the international community does not protest against Iran's production of atomic energy. According to the Chairman of the Association, the international community is possibly afraid that Iran may acquire nuclear weapons.

The politician said that the UN Security Council gave the IAEA two months to raise a report on the nuclear activity of Iran. "The discussions which lasted two months were unsuccessful," Lajavardi said.

The Iranian politician considers that irrespective of Larijani's statement, the USA is continuing threats and insults against Iran. "In addition, 1st and 2nd UN resolutions on Iran are still in force. At the same time, US policy is expanding in isolating Iran and each day the radical tune of the USA is increasing against Tehran. The USA intends to announce one of the key military forces of Iran (Sipah Pasdaran) as a terrorist organization. Thus the UN is expected to approve application of the 3rd resolution against Iran in September," the Iranian politician said.
