Azerbaijan, Nakhchivan / corr Trend E.Mammadov / New cars have been given to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) police s of Azerbaijan.
Vasif Talibov, the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly [Parliament] of NAR, presented the police with the keys to 8 Chevrolet Nivas, 1 Jeep and 1 Niva, Trend Regional Correspondent reports.
Two cars have been given to the National Security Ministry. The Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Police Department of Sharur District, the Ibadullah police precinct of the Police Deportment of Sharur District, the Jahry police precinct of the Police Departments of Sharur, Julfa, Ordubad, and Sadack Districts have all received one car each.
The area of NAR is 5,500km sq m, which constitutes 6.4% of the Azerbaijan's territory. Nakhchivan consists of Babek, Sharur, Ordubad, Sadarek, Shahbuz, Julfa and Kangarli Districts. Nakhchivan city is the capital of Nakhchivan AR with the population of 380,200 people.
