Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. К.Ramazanova / The fight against terrorism in the CIS countries remains the main issue, Vladimir Rushaylo, the Executive Secretary of CIS, said in Baku on 6 September.
"Despite high level of the national security, the fight against terrorism remains one of the relevant issues," Rushaylo said at the opening ceremony of the Council of CIS's countries' Interior Ministers.
The fight against terrorism and the support of the national security will also be discussed at the next summit of CIS countries, which is planned to be held in Dushanbe.
The migration policy of CIS countries was discussed during the latest summit on 10 June. The Task Group is presently developing the draft of Declaration, the executive secretary said.
The meeting will be attended by the Interior Ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine, as well as representatives of the Council of Interior Ministers and the CIS's Anti Terrorist Centre.
CIS's Council of Interior Ministers will discuss the responsibilities of the interior bodies and police in CIS countries with regards to illegal migration.
