Aghayeva / The documents planned to be signed during the forthcoming official visit of Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliyev, to Lithuania includes 12 inter-governmental agreements, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Lithuania, Naira Shakhtakhtinskaya, reported from Vilnius on 7 September.
The first official visit of the Azerbaijani President to Lithuania is scheduled to take place on 13-14 September, according to the Ambassador. The draft documents are being coordinated now and it will be known later which of them will be signed during the impending visit, she noted. The documents cover political, economic and humanitarian fields of cooperation.
The Azerbaijani President will be accompanied by a group of Azerbaijani businessmen and the program will include a business forum of both countries' businessmen.
According to the Ambassador, Lithuania attaches great importance to the forthcoming visit of the Azerbaijani President. The visit was a subject of discussion at the meeting with Lithuanian President, Valdas Adamkus, to whom Shakhtakhtinskaya presented his credentials on 7 September.
Lithuania expects the visit to give a new impetus to the development of bilateral relations, the Ambassador said.
