Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. К.Zarbaliyeva / One of the reasons for suicides in Azerbaijani military units is the incompetent actions of military commanding officers against soldiers, Khanlar Valiyev, a Military Prosecutor, said.
Valiyev has revealed a range of reasons of suicide committed by soldiers of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
"Soldiers are usually young men and they cannot consider their actions beforehand. Sometimes even common issues cause death. Some soldiers leave letters stating that they committed suicide due to the refusal of parents to marriage with his beloved," Valiyev said.
The level of deaths and suicides in the army has not risen. Each case is investigated.
