Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. К.Ramazanova / OSCE's representative in Azerbaijan called for to stop arrest of journalists for express of opinion.
"Journalists should not be detained due to express of opinion," Jose Luis Herrero, the head of the Baku office of the OSCE, said.
Presently, seven journalists are kept in prison in Azerbaijan.
Several times the OSCE called the government to pass the bill on 'Defamation'.
"It is too early to Azerbaijan to pass the bill on 'Defamation," Ali Hasanov, the head of the Public Political Presidential Administration, said.
Present state of press in Azerbaijan causes alarm both in OSCE and other international organizations.
