Some 46 Newspapers and Magazines Involved in Racket Activity Evicted from   Azerbaijan Publishing House

Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend E.Huseynli / Some 46 newspapers and magazines involved in racket activity have been evicted from the Azerbaijani Publishing House, said the House's Director, Agabey Askerov, on 17 October.

According to him, monitoring is currently continuing to evict several publications from the House.

"According to initial accounts, 15 more newspapers and magazines involved in racket activity will be evicted from the House," Askerov said.

Some 170 newspapers and magazines function in the building of the House. The evicted newspapers and magazines will be replaced by other publications. Monitoring has been continuing for two years already. According to Askerov, measures have been taken to cancel the debts of the newspapers and magazines to the House. He did not provide information on this because the amount of debts is a State secret.
