Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend K. Ramazanova / The Prosecutor of the Rasim Muradov trial has asked to sentence the former Deputy Commander of the Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan to nine years imprisonment with confiscation of his property. The court proceeding over the case of former Deputy Commander Muradov, concluded for the day on 18 October in the Military Court of Heinous Crimes.
The colonel is accused in compliance with Article 311.3.2 (taking repeat bribes) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
According to the prosecutor, all accusations against Muradov, were confirmed during the investigation. In addition, the Prosecutor asked that Muradov be stripped of his military rank.
The criminal case with regards to Muradov was filed in March by the Commander of the Defense Brigade, colonel Mirzali Yusifov.
The court hearing will continue on 19 October.
