Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend Z.Safarov / FIDE is interested in holding one of the stages of the Grand-Prix in Baku. The cities, which will hold the six competitions over 2 years, will be announced in the beginning of 2008. The tournament will be held in April, August and December. Turkey, Kazakhstan and the other countries submitted their applications for organizing these tournaments, whilst FIDE is interested in holding the Grand-Prix in Baku, Azerbaijani capital. Baku held the international tournament amongst women, and earlier organized the World Championship among juniors. The winner of the World Cup will play with the winner of the Grand-Prix in 2009.
