Azerbaijan, Baku, 2 April / Trend / On 1 April, free-style wrestlers of the national team of Azerbaijan won three bronze medals of the World Championship which is taking place at the Finnish city Tamper. Emin Azizov (66kg) became the hero of the day. He not only won the medal, but also received an Olympic license.
In the quarter final, Azizov beat Adam Sobirash from Poland but was beaten in the semi-final by Georgian Koba Kakalidze. After beating Armenian Zikayr Khovanisyan, Azizov gained the third step of the pedestal, thus gaining a license to Beijing. Another two Azerbaijani wrestlers who won the bronze medals were Novruz Temrezov (84kg) and Ali Isayev (120kg).
The Olympic Games 2008 will take place in China in August.
