Azerbaijan, Baku, 29 April / Trend corr I. Alizade/ Iraq and Azerbaijan is to develop cooperation within the sporting field, Iraqi Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ershad Omar Ismayil said to journalists on 29 April.
According to the Ambassador, development of cooperation in the field of sport between the two countries will be discussed during the visit of the Iraqi Sports Minister Jasim Abid Jafari to Azerbaijan in June.
Jafari will visit Baku at the invitation of Azad Rahimov, the Azerbaijani Minister for Youth and Sports.
The ambassador said that the itinerary for the visit is currently being developed. An agreement to establish bilateral relations is expected to be signed during the visit.
