Italian Roberto Rossi has been chosen to referee the opening match of the European Championships between Switzerland and Czech Republic in Basle on Saturday, reported dpa.
Germany's Herbert Fandel will be in charge of the day's second Group A game, between Portugal and Turkey in Geneva.
Pieter Vink of the Netherlands will referee Sunday's Group B match between Austria and Croatia in Vienna.
Tom Henning Ovrebo of Norway will officiate at the day's other group match between Germany and Poland in Klagenfurt, Austria.
Europe football governing body UEFA Thursday appointed the match officials for the first 12 of the 31 matches of the tournament.
