Azerbaijan, Baku, 26 June / Trend corr R.Ergun/ "A member of Azerbaijan's Greco Roman Wrestling junior team Nijat Muradov won the world championship in the Latvian Daugavpils city," Azerbaijan's Wrestling Federation reported to Trend on 25 June.
Muradov was wrestling in 50kg-weight category. Aslanbek Alborov (85kg) took the 2nd position. Another member of the Greco Roman Wrestling national team - Hajiyev (58kg) took the 3rd position.
Azerbaijani wrestlers will participate in the Grand-Prix Golden Tournament in Baku dedicated to the memory of Azerbaijan's all-nation leader Heydar Aliyev. The international tournament to start on 27 June will take place in the Palace of Sport Games. It will involve 27 Azerbaijani wrestlers.
