Azerbaijan, Baku, 2 July / corr. Trend S. Agayeva/ The Bishop Cathedral is pleased with the level of tolerance in Azerbaijan, it was mentioned during the forum of the Bishop Cathedral- the supreme body of the Orthodox church.
The cathedral highly appreciates the dialogue between the civil society and religions in Azerbaijan, development of the inter-religion dialogue and contacts of the supreme body of the orthodox church with Azerbaijan, Alexander II, the bishop of Baku and of all Caspian littoral countries said to media in Baku on 2 July.
The forum took place recently in Moscow.
At present, there are 200,000 orthodox parishioners in Azerbaijan including Russians, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Greeks and Georgians. There are seven orthodox temples in the country.
