Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 July / Trend corr. E.Babayev / The Journalists' Rights Protection Committee RUH took a decision to leave the ranks of founders of the 'Media achari' premium. "The reason for this was caused by superiority of preconceived attitude towards principals of professionalism and skill requirements to define winners of premium 2008. Respecting each winner, we express a serious concern about the same dangerous attitude in the future," RUH told Trend .

The 'Media achari' premium was established 11 years ago. The Journalists Association -Yeni nasil (New generation) was the first founder of the premium. Later, the Journalists League and RUH joined the organization. 'Media achari' is presented annually on 22 July. A special competition is announced first. Articles printed annually are presented in the competition. The journalist, who wins the competition once, cannot attend in the campaign again.

The Committee said that the premiums granted to journalistic organization do not mean that they meet all expectations in this sphere.

Yadigar Mammadli, the head of the Azerbaijani Journalists League, refused to comment Trend about the issue. "We hold presentation of Media achari premium today. We will explain our attitude towards the issue after the event," Mamadli said.

RUH was founded in 1992. Aflatun Amashev was the chairman of the organization till 15 March 2003. Amashov was elected the chairman of the Council of Press and resigned from chairman position in the Ruh. At present, Avaz Rustamov is the chairman of the organization.
