Marianne Vos of the Netherlands took Olympic gold in the women's cycling points race at the Laoshan Velodrome Monday, making up for a disappointing sixth-place finish in the road race, dpa reported.
World points race champion Vos claimed victory with a total of 30 points with silver going to Cuba's Yoanka Gonzalez on 18 and Spain's Leire Olaberria on 13 points.
