Azerbaijan, Baku, 22 August /corr. TrendNews R.Ergun/ Azerbaijan boxer Shahin Imranov lost his chances to acquire silver and gold medal after defeat in combat with French sportsman.
Losing to French boxer with a score of 2:5 in the first round, Imranov refused to continue combating.
After this match, Imranov officially took bronze medal of the Olympiad. Azerbaijani boxer combated in weight of up to 57kg.
Besides Imranov, Azerbaijan was represented at the Olympiad by boxer Samir Mammadov. Losing in the first match, Mammadov completed his participation.
Currently Azerbaijan gained seven Olympiad medals - one gold, two silver and four bronze.
