Azerbaijanis Living in Uzbekistan Say They Support Ruling Party’s Candidate

Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 October/ Trend , corr A. Huseynbala/ Azerbaijani living, working and studying in Uzbekistan will support current President Ilham Aliyev, candidate from ruling party.

Azerbaijani diaspora decided to do so as they approve internal and foreign policy Ilham Aliyev pursued for the last five years, State Committee for Azerbaijanis Abroad said to Trend .

The presidential elections in Azerbaijan will be held on 15 October. A total of seven candidates will take part in the elections including Ilham Aliyev, chairman of Ruling New Azerbaijan Party, Igbal Agazade, chairman of opposition Umid (Hope) Party, Fazil Gazanfaroglu, chairman of Great Establishment Party, Gudrat Hasanguliyev, chairman of Unified Popular Front Party, Hafiz Hajiyev, chairman of Muasir Musavat Party, Fuad Aliyev, chairman of Liberal Democrat Party and independent candidate Gulamhuseyn Alibayli.

Representative of Azerbaijani diaspora shared their view about political stability, economic, social and cultural development at the meeting of Association of Cultural Centers of Azerbaijan in Uzbekistan.

"The participants of the meeting noted that organization of diasporas has been carried out on high level, organization skills of Azerbaijanis living abroad has improved and Ilham Aliyev's recommendations and care contributed to their activity in public, political and cultural life for the last five years," Committee said.
