Preparatory session on criminal case of gang of drug traders takes place in Azerbaijan

A preparatory session took place on the criminal case of a gang comprising 11 people, who brought a large consignment of drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan. During the session, it was decided to appoint a trial on July 7.

As a result of the Ministry of National Security's operative-search measures, on 11 December last year about 90 kilograms of drugs were withdrawn.

On 11 December last year, in transaction with the citizens of Azerbaijan Rahib Zeynalov, Ilham Mirzoyev, Agashukur Ibishov, Nadir Chiggarov, Rauf Ahmedov, Vugar Abdullayev, Firudin Dadashov, Azer Guliyev, Feyruz Aliyev and Khoshgaldi Aliyev,  the citizen of Iran Ahmad Guluzade smuggled drugs from Iran to the Gulmammadli village of Azerbaijan's Jalilabad district for sale and hid in a planting field.

The Central Investigation Department of the National Security Ministry has filed a suit on an attempt to smuggle drugs by a group of persons (Article 29, 206.3.2 of Penal Code), a crime committed by a group or an organized group by conspiracy (Article 234.4.1), and crimes in large numbers (Article 234.4.3).
