Azerbaijani team got the second award during the eighth World Games in Gaosun (Taywan) on July 20.
Women acrobatic duet, including Ayla Akhmedova and Dilara Sultanova got 28.602 points and took the second place.
Azerbaijani sportswomen managed to take the lead over serious rivals, including Belorussian world champion Katerina Murashko and Alina Yushko. Belgian tandem, including Tastana De Vos and Florens Henrist took the first place by scoring 28.612 points. British sportswomen took the third place.
Azerbaijani gymnast Aliya Garayeva got the first medal for Azerbaijani team during World Games on July 18. She took the third place while performing exercise with ribbon.
Team delegated for games by Azerbaijani Gymnastics Federation got two medals. As a result Azerbaijan joined list of countries having medals.
