Azerbaijani youth in Georgia will hold congress in October.
"The congress will be organized with the support of the Azerbaijan State Committee for Diaspora," head of Georgia-based Geyrat national movement of Azerbaijan Alibala Asgarov said.
In recent years, 60,000 Azerbaijanis have left Georgia because of social problems and unemployment, Asgarov said.
"Most of them settled in Azerbaijan and Turkey. The Azerbaijani government should invest in regions of Georgia populated by Azerbaijanis to ensure new job opportunities," he said.
Azerbaijanis will hold a congress together with the state committee soon, Asgarov said.
"There is a need to hold all-republican congress of Azerbaijanis in Georgia," he added.
Unofficial data places the number of Azerbaijanis living in Georgia at 500,000 who are mainly populated in Kvemo-Kartli (Borchali).
