Azerbaijani Ombudsman asks to return Azerbaijani migrants arrested in Moscow to homeland

"We appealed to the head of the Foreign Citizens Detention Center in Moscow to assist in informing us about the problems of each Azerbaijani migrants detained therein, to explain to them their rights and help to return home as soon as possible. Some 11 detained Azerbaijani citizens will return home after solving their problems in line with the law, Suleymanova said during discussing this issue with Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Vladimir Dorokhin.

Azerbaijani migrants arrested in Russia will return home soon, Azerbaijani Ombudsman, Elmira Suleymanova said.

"We appealed to the head of the Foreign Citizens Detention Center in Moscow to assist in informing us about the problems of each Azerbaijani migrants detained therein, to explain to them their rights and help to return home as soon as possible. Some 11 detained Azerbaijani citizens will return home after solving their problems in line with the law, Suleymanova said during discussing this issue with Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Vladimir Dorokhin.

Suleymanova appealed to the head of the center with a request to return ten more Azerbaijanis to their homeland soon.

Suleymanova stressed that, as part of the certain authorities determined by the law and fixed by the international treaties on human rights in the legal base, the main strategy of her activities is to protect the citizens' rights without any bias action toward various population groups - elderly, women, children, disabilities, refugees and internally displaced persons, migrants, militaries, religious, national minorities and other categories of people.
