Within the first plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries in Baku, the journalists accredited in the parliaments of these countries held a meeting.
Journalists came to the decision to establish an Association of Parliamentary Journalists of Turkic-speaking countries.

At the meeting attended by the parliament journalists from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, the editor-in-chief of Zaman-Kyrgyzstan newspaper, parliamentary journalist and a representative of the Turkish Cihan news agency in Kyrgyzstan Aydin Pazarci was elected the chairman of the organization, and the representatives of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Kazakhstan - his deputies.

Azerbaijan will be represented in the organization by the chairman of the Union of Parliamentary Journalists Elshad Eyvazli.

Each year the organization will be presided by a representative of each country on the basis of turn, said Eyvazli. "The charter of the Association of Parliamentary Journalists of Turkic-speaking countries will be approved soon," he said.

The Association will organize mutual visits and hold exchange of experiences. "We will try that the Association of Parliamentary Journalists of Turkic-speaking countries will transform into a significant international organization. Also one of our main goals is to ensure participation of our colleagues from Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in the organization," said Eyvazli.
