The Azerbaijani Court sentenced the Iranian citizen accused of drug trafficking to 14 years imprisonment.

The Azerbaijani Serious Crimes Court sentenced the Iranian citizen, Taati Jafrudi Akbar Aziz oglu to 14 years imprisonment, the court told Trend on Sept.30.

The Iranian citizen is accused of the Article 318 (attempt to cross state border illegally), 206.2 (smuggling) and 234.4.1 and 234.4.3 (illegal manufacturing, purchase, storage, transportation, transfer or selling of narcotics, psychotropic substances) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.

The Azerbaijani Interior Ministry's Drug Enforcement Department arrested the accused at the house that rented in the Nizami Street of Khirdalan city. The officials seized 4.088,726 kilograms of heroine and equipments for drug manufacturing.
