The Azerbaijani Court sent a prisoner who tried to kill his cellmate to a psychiatric hospital.
The Azerbaijani Serous Crimes Court completed the trial on Mushfiq Rajabov on Oct.15.
Serving a sentence in an institution for serving the sentence No.1 of the Justice Ministry's Penitentiary Service, 39-year-old Mushfiq Rajabov had an argument with his cellmate 47-year-old Tarlan Shirinkhun on July 24. During the dispute Rajabov hit Shirinkhun with a knife in the eye area. Shirinkhun was placed in a medical facility of the Penitentiary Service.
Rajabov was charged under the Article 29,120.1 (attempt to premeditated murder) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
The court decided to send Rajabov for treatment to the Republican Mental hospital No.1.
