Specialists of the Nuclear Research Center of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) have produced two new radioactive drugs, Chairman of the AEOI Nuclear Research Center Mohammed Gannadi said, Mehr news agency reported.

Specialists of the Nuclear Research Center of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) have produced two new radioactive drugs, Chairman of the AEOI Nuclear Research Center Mohammed Gannadi said, Mehr news agency reported.

These medicines may be used to reduce pain associated with the cancer disease, Gannadi said.

New radioactive pharmaceuticals Samaryon 153 and Renyom 186 may be used to reduce pain in the bones of patients suffering from the cancer disease, Gannadi said.

'Renyom 186' medicine may also be used for the treatment of cancer. "We have tested new drugs. Large-scale production of these preparations will begin as soon as the Health Ministry will give official permission, Gannadi said.

According to Gannadi, the center's specialists are working on several other radioactive drugs and information about new medicines will be available before the Novruz holiday, Gannadi added.
