Azerbaijan, Baku, November 20 / Trend , M.Aliyev / The funds allocated from the Public budget of Azerbaijan for the education are in second place after the funds for the army, the Head of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Ramiz Mehdiyev said, making a speech at the first congress of the Union of Student-Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan.
According to him, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev pays great attention to education of youth.
Creating student-youth union puts a great responsibility on its founders, and the union should have task - what contribution they can make to the future development of Azerbaijan, said Mehdiyev.
The questions of the conformity of education level in the country with the needs of time, improvement of the quality of education and the use of modern technologies will be discussed tomorrow at a meeting with the rectors of universities and professors working in the field of social sciences, said Mehdiyev.
The head of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan also touched upon the problems in education. "There are problems with poor quality of education at some educational institutions of the country," he said.
According to Mehdiyev, some universities do not provide necessary assistance in the establishment of youth organizations at universities.
On Nov. 20, Baku hosted the first congress of the Union of Student-Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan, which was attended by 25 state and 14 private educational institutions. The student-youth organizations in Azerbaijan united in a public union.
The aim of the union is to support the development of education at universities, ensure student participation in social, political and cultural life of the country, ensure their rights.
