"Azerbaijani pilgrims traveling to Mecca have not had any health problems," Caucasus Muslims Spiritual Leader Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh told Trend today.
According to him, during a telephone conversation, the pilgrims have not expressed any concern.
Saudi Arabia's Health Ministry reported that four foreign pilgrims, including citizens of Sudan, India, Morocco and Nigeria, have died of the A/H1N1virus.
According to the information, none of the deceased men were vaccinated before arriving to the country. The ministry called on all pilgrims to be vaccinated. Elderly and pregnant women were encouraged to refrain from making the pilgrimage.
The Hajj will begin Nov. 25. Roughly three million pilgrims from different parts of the world are expected to arrive in Saudi Arabia.
