Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations of Central Asian countries will unite in a single Congress, said Friday by telephone from Tashkent, the chairman of the Association of Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Cultural Centers, Akif Agatalibov.
According to him, currently negotiations are being held with women, youth and other diaspora organizations in Central Asia.
"It needs to define the country and the time of the first conference, which will be attended by representatives of six countries in the region," said Agatalibov.
According to the chairman of the Association, establishing such a union was the wish of all the Azerbaijanis living in the countries of Central Asia.
Association of Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Cultural Centers has representations in 10 regions of Uzbekistan. More than 60,000 Azerbaijanis reside in Uzbekistan.
