It is necessary to create legislative basis in the field of social advertising in Azerbaijan, Nushirevan Maharramli, chairman of the National Broadcasting Council of Azerbaijan (NBCA) told Trend .
This matter requires a system of legislative acts. If advertisements on television and radio will be free in any sphere of activity, others will also need advertisement. It would call into question the profitability of television channels from advertising policy, Maharramli said.
Therefore, public advertising should not be placed upon the order of different organizations but through an agency that will determine the social importance of advertising. "If this issue becomes actual, the NBCA is ready to act as a centralized agency," Maharramli said.
