Azerbaijan has launched a project "Support to the elderly training centers for education, social solidarity and poverty reduction," which is part of the European Commission's program for development of non-governmental agencies and local authorized bodies.

Azerbaijan has launched a project "Support to the elderly training centers for education, social solidarity and poverty reduction," which is part of the European Commission's program for development of non-governmental agencies and local authorized bodies.

The project, which is intended for 30 months and to be held in the southern regions of Azerbaijan (Masalli, Jalilabad, Lankaran, Yardimli, Lerik and Astara), will be implemented by the International Cooperation Institute of Union National Universities of Germany, NGO for agro advice, the Education Association of Elderly.

The main goal of the project is to create training centers for the elderly, employment and social solidarity in rural areas of Azerbaijan.

The project budget is 596,000 euro, with 75 percent to be sponsored by the European Commission, 25 percent by the Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany.
