Individuals accused of committing terror act in Azerbaijan State Oil Academy under trial

A trial over individuals accused of organizing terror act, committed in April 2009 in the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy' (ASOA) has begun.
Today Serious Crimes Court held preparatory hearing on Nadira Aliyev, Ariz Gabulov, Javidan Amirov and Najaf Suleymanov's criminal cases, accused of committing murder of Azerbaijan State Oil Academy's teachers and students with special cruelty in April 2009.
Twenty nine-year-old Farda Gadirov began shooting in the second building of the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. About 12 people were killed, 13 - injured. Gadirov was surrounded by the police and committed suicide.
Amirov Javidan Farman oglu was charged under articles 214.2.1, 214.2.3 (terrorism), 28,120.2.1 (preparation for premeditated murder), 120.2.1, 120.2.3, 120.2.4 , 120.2.5, 120.2.7, 120.2.10, 120.2.11, 120.2.12 (premeditated murder under aggravating circumstances), 29,120.2.1, 29,120.2.3, 29,120.2.4, 29,120.2.5, 29,120.2.7, 29,120.2. 10, 29,120.2.11, 29,120.2.12 (attempted premeditated murder under aggravating circumstances), 206.4 (smuggling committed by an organized group), 228.2.2, 228.3 (illegal purchase, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of firearms, component parts , ammunition (other than smooth-bore hunting weapons and ammunition to it), explosives or explosive devices) and 234.1 (illegal manufacture, production, acquisition, storage, transport, transfer or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or precursors) of the Criminal Code. Aliyev Nadir Shirhan oglu and Suleymanov Najaf Nowruz oglu are charged under 214.2.1, 214.2.3, 120.2.1, 120.2.3, 120.2.4, 120.2.5, 120.2.7, 120.2.11, 120.2.12, 29,120.2.1 , 29,120.2.3, 29,120.2.4, 29,120.2.5, 29,120.2.7, 29,120.2.11, 29,120.2.12, 206.4 and 228.3, Gabulov Ariz Zahid oglu - under articles 206.3.2 and 228.2.1 of the Criminal Code.
A criminal case against Farda Gadirov was closed because his death.
Investigation on the criminal case was biased, Nadir Aliyev said considering his arrest groundless during the preparatory hearing. Aliyev filed a motion on inviting investigator Fakhraddin Panahov, who held investigation to the court.
On the day of the crime Ministry of National Security arrested also Javidan Amirov. After questioning he was released for lack of evidences on his involvement in the attack on the university. But the next morning he was arrested by the Head Department for Combating Organized Crime (HDCOC). Amirov made a motion for return of the criminal case to the initial investigation stage.
Najaf Suleymanov, who made a motion in connection with inviting investigator to the process, also didn't agree with the charge.
The court discussed the motion and decided to refuse them.
The judicial review is scheduled for Apr.21.
