Azerbaijani gymnast Aliya Garaeva won one silver and two bronze medals at the Grand Prix tournament this week in Innsbruck, Austria. The Azerbaijani Gymnastics Federation reported that Garaeva won all of her medals in the individual finals - the silver in the ribbon exercise (28.225 points) and bronze medals in the rope (27.425) and hoop (27.95) exercises.

"Receiving three medals in one tournament is great, although it's a real shame I didn't win a gold," Garayeva said. Russian gymnasts came away with all of the gold medals.

Fellow Azerbaijani gymnast Anna Gurbanova finished seventh in the rope exercise and eighth in the ribbon exercise.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijani gymnasts put on a remarkable show at a tournament in Tashkent.

Fourteen-year-old Aisha Mustafayeva finished first in her age group in the all-around event and the skipping rope and the ball excerises. Eleven-year-old Janet Mammadova also received a gold medal in the ball exercise and a silver in the all-around event.

At the same time, Azerbaijani gymnast Dina Gorina finished sixth in the all-around event in the Baltic Cup in Poland.
