In October-November Azerbaijan will hold examinations for doctoral candidacy, the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) President Mahmud Kerimov told journalists today.
"The new rules of admission to doctoral candidacy have already been agreed with all departments, and we hope that soon they will be adopted", Kerimov said.
New rules of admission to doctoral candidacy prepared by ANAS and the Education Ministry have been submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers for approval.
The abolition of age limits for admission to doctoral candidacy is among the changes to the rules.
In 2009, the admission to this stage of education was not implemented. The Azerbaijani Parliament adopted a new law "On education" in June 2009.
