There are 13.1 percent more foreigners in Azerbaijan today than last year, State Social Protection Fund spokesman Elman Babayev told Trend.
"During the reporting period, we recorded over 1,052 people," Babayev said. "Thus, the number of foreigners rose to 9,081 as of July 1. The country registered foreigners from 91 countries - the majority of whom were Turkish citizens."
He said Georgians follow Turkish citizens, followed by Russians, Iranians, Indians, Chinese, Bosnians, British and Ukrainians, Filipinos, Pakistanis, Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Malaysians, Germans, Turkmens, Italians, and Americans.
